
The Organisational Workforce Development Team (part of LGSS) at Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to supplying high-quality learning to the Adult Social Care Workforce across the county. We offer many options to suit different needs.
Short Courses: Assisting People to Move, Dementia Care, Exceptional Supervisor, Moving & Handling Inanimate Objects, Caring for People Affected by Stroke, Exceptional Administrator, Working Safely, Infection Prevention and Control, Time Management, Personal Safety, Medication courses (e.g. Ear, nose, eye drops and inhaled medications), Stress Management, Risk Assessment, Communication Skills. Many of our training courses can be run in-house.
Vocational Qualifications: Health NVQ Levels 2 and 3, Leadership and Management for Care Services, NVQ Level 4, Business and Administration, Health and Social Care NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4, Award in First Line Management, Customer Service, NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4, Learning and Development, NVQ Levels 3 & 4, Certificate in Community Mental Health, Certificate in Health and Social Care, Induction Award Supporting People with Learning Disabilities.
Social Work Development: Introduction to Health & Social Care (sponsorship to study the K101 module with the Open University), BA Hons in Social Work: (Sponsorship to undertake the Open University degree programme to qualify as a social worker) and Practice Teaching and Onsite Supervision (Initial training and ongoing support for those taking on a social work student as part of Cambridgeshire County Council’s social work sponsorship schemes).
